The log sold for more than the estimated range of $200,000 to $300,000 but far short of some of the other historic documents that were also on sale at the auction.Ī forewarning that the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima could be developed at all came in a letter from Albert Einstein to former US President Franklin D Roosevelt, which sold for nearly $2.1m.

Just another tool in the crate full of shite."The greatest explosion man has ever witnessed" What they will do is add to the confusion and cover the pepper spray-as in it "looks" just like smoke until you get a face/lung full. I think these are intended more for signaling for boaters but they were cheap ($2.00) because they were past the expiration date. I just found some "flare type" (as in you strike the match head top with the cap-like youre lighting a road flare) smoke "grenades" They are actually shaped like road flares which may give them better throwing capabilities. Even the big ones don't put out a ton of smoke. Lemme be REAL CLEAR they are paintball quality NOT military grade.

They aren't quite M18s but I whole lot better than lighting a fuse, and on the plus side they are under $20 (some under $10). I found "pull pin" friction igniter type smoke. So F-it, what alternatives were out there? There are plenty of fuse types that require a match to light them but I always kinda figured Id be worried about more things then holding a match to a piece of fuse-if I needed smoke. Then some rumor that the Orcs from Mordor had determined the igniter was an explosive device and they when form $20 to impossible to find, then that seemed to be cleared up but the prices were $50-100. Back in the day, you could buy M18 and M8 smoke for the insane price of about $20. I want smoke for much the same as the pepper spray grenades. I have deployedr them in an off-duty role yet but I see them best in a "break contact" situation. I tend to cycle mine about every 2-3 years but they get stored in a cool/warm environment not a hot car.

The manufacturer says the pepper lasts but the aerosol propellant is only guaranteed for one year, so feel free to keep'em as long as you like just be prepared for a piffff instead of a good spray. They aren't pricey (under $20 for a can).

Then I discovered Pepper Spray Grenades, the kind that once the button is pushed, the whole can empties. Its a damn fine attitude changer (most of the time) but I always get bitten by it too and its worse when a buddy decides to use it without giving a warning just as I'm stepping in to make the arrest the old fashion way. I love to hate and hate to love Pepper Spray. Still, "Bullets & Band Aids" were only part of what I wanted to add. Trauma gear was a big addition to my daily carry, not just for me but also for family. The Freddie Gray Riots proved to me that guns weren't gonna be the only thing I might need if things got "needy". I grew up with the 68 riots and remember they didn't really stop until the 82nd showed up with Gun Jeeps and loaded M60s. I had my share of AKs, RPKs, ARs and even a few BeltFeds). I always considered myself "prepared" in a Mel Tappen "Survival Guns" sorta way, (for those of you who are familiar, Mel Tappen was a Survivalist Guru of the 1980s -google him for more).

The Freddie Gray nonsense in Baltimore was a "reset" for me.
